Commercial Socket Fault Finding – KFC
Electrical fault finding carried out after two commercial defrost fridges stopped working, identifying a faulty socket and unsuitable use of a double adaptor.Truvo Electrical Solutions attended KFC in Sheffield after two defrost fridges had stopped working.
Electrical fault finding traced the problem to a faulty socket supplying the equipment. Both fridges were also found to be connected through a double adaptor rather than having individual socket outlets available.
The faulty socket was replaced with a new outlet and the supply was tested before the equipment was returned to service.
Advice was also given not to continue supplying both appliances through the double adaptor and to use suitable individual socket outlets instead.
The job is a good example of how systematic electrical fault finding can identify the cause of equipment failure without unnecessarily replacing the equipment itself.
