Machine & Tumble Dryer Socket Installation
New flush-mounted double socket installed for a washing machine and tumble dryer, removing the need to supply both appliances from an extension lead.Truvo Electrical Solutions was asked to provide a better permanent electrical supply for a washing machine and tumble dryer that were being powered using an extension lead.
A new flush-mounted double socket was installed directly behind the appliances, allowing both the washing machine and tumble dryer to be plugged into a permanent socket where they are used.
The new installation removes the need for the extension lead and leaves the area considerably neater, with the socket and appliance cables positioned out of the way behind the machines.
The circuit and new socket were tested following the installation before the appliances were connected and returned to use.
This type of small alteration can be particularly useful in utility areas, kitchens and converted spaces where the original socket layout no longer suits how the room is being used.
