Indicative estimate basis
What the standard outbuilding range assumes.
The starting range is for a straightforward new electrical supply to one ready, weatherproof domestic outbuilding, using an accessible surface route under ten metres. It assumes suitable capacity at the main property, a small outbuilding distribution board, standard protection, testing, certification and normal electrical commissioning.
Longer or buried routes, internal lighting and socket fit-out, heating and office provision can add allowances. Groundworks and making good are excluded unless agreed. Overhead or complex routes, uncertain supply capacity, faulty existing wiring, heavy machinery, EV charging, hot tubs and difficult access are reviewed before a figure is shown.
