Rewires
A rewire affects more than the electrical installation. Occupancy, decoration, floor access, room use and other renovation plans all shape how the work should be approached.
Typical enquiries
- Full rewires of houses, flats and bungalows
- Partial rewires during alterations or renovation
- Properties with older or unsuitable wiring
- Early planning before purchase or refurbishment
What helps next
- 01Questions about property size, age and occupancy
- 02The rooms and systems included in the planned work
- 03Safe photographs of the closed consumer unit and accessible finished areas
- 04A site survey before scope and quotation are confirmed
Planning estimate basis
A useful starting range—not a blind quotation.
The online range is designed for a standard full domestic rewire. It considers property size, occupancy, access, floor construction and selected additional systems. The starting specification assumes standard white accessories, a replacement consumer unit where required, testing, certification and normal electrical making-safe.
Partial rewires, flats, unusual buildings, premium accessories, connected solar, battery or EV equipment, and uncertain access are reviewed individually. Plastering, decorating, flooring and other building finishes are excluded unless expressly added later.
A site survey and agreed specification are always required before Truvo issues a formal rewire quotation.Do not lift floors, enter unsafe voids or remove sockets, switches or electrical covers for photographs. Finished room views and normally visible equipment are sufficient for the initial enquiry.
